Birthdays and milestones, engagements, housewarmings, religious and cultural celebrations. Photography for the moments worth the wait.
The work
The interesting photographs at an event are rarely the ones everyone is posing for. They're the grandmother adjusting her grandchild's hair before the family photo. The father quietly watching his daughter dance. The light catching the diya right before someone moves.
My approach to events is observational. I move quietly, I photograph what's actually happening, and I leave the choreographed moments to the choreographer. I bring a second camera and a long lens to keep distance, so the kahani in the room continues without me in it.
01
First birthdays, eighteenths, twenty-firsts, thirtieths, fortieth, fiftieths, seventieth — and every birthday in between. Photographed across Melbourne homes, venues, and parks.
02
Engagement parties, proposal photography, and milestone wedding anniversaries. Suited to couples who want photographs of the night, not just of themselves.
03
First-home celebrations, Griha Pravesh, and family gatherings. Particularly meaningful for migrant families documenting their first home in Australia.
04
Pujas, christenings, naming ceremonies, mundans, Akhand Path, baptisms. Comfortable photographing across faiths and cultural traditions — with discretion for ritual moments.
05
Diwali, Eid, Christmas family dinners, Lunar New Year, Nowruz, and other cultural occasions. The photographs you'll come back to in twenty years.
06
Second shooter only. Available as a candid second shooter alongside your primary wedding photographer. I don't take on weddings as the sole photographer.
Event coverage is quoted by the hours required, the size of the celebration, the location, and the deliverables. Most celebrations are covered in three to six hours. Tell me what you're planning, and I'll respond within twenty-four hours.
